Anti-Static Poly Bags

Anti-Static Poly Bags

Anti-static poly bags designed to prevent static charge buildup and protect ESD-sensitive electronic components during storage and shipping. Manufactured from polyethylene film treated with anti-static additives that dissipate surface charges. Available in flat open-end and reclosable configurations across standard mil thicknesses. Pink-tinted anti-static bags provide visual identification of ESD-safe packaging, while clear anti-static bags maintain product visibility.

Static Protection Mechanism

Anti-static poly bags are manufactured from polyethylene film with anti-static additives incorporated into the resin during extrusion. These additives migrate to the film surface and attract ambient moisture, creating a thin conductive layer that dissipates static charges before they can accumulate to damaging levels. This prevents triboelectric charging (static generated by friction) during handling and movement of packaged components.

Anti-Static vs. Static Shielding

Anti-static bags prevent static buildup on the bag surface and reduce charge generation during handling. They are appropriate for components that are sensitive to static discharge but do not require shielding from external electrostatic fields. For components requiring full Faraday cage protection from external static events, static shielding bags with a metallic barrier layer are used instead. Anti-static bags are the more cost-effective option for the majority of ESD-sensitive parts handling and storage.

Mil Thickness

Standard anti-static poly bags are available in 2 mil and 4 mil thicknesses. The 2 mil thickness is the most common for general electronics packaging, providing adequate protection for circuit boards, connectors, and small components. The 4 mil thickness is used for heavier parts, items with sharp leads, or applications requiring additional puncture resistance.

Pink Tint Identification

Pink-tinted anti-static bags are the industry standard for visual identification of ESD-safe packaging. The pink color allows immediate recognition that a bag provides anti-static protection, which is important in mixed-packaging environments where standard poly bags and anti-static bags are used alongside each other. Clear anti-static bags are also available where product visibility or aesthetic presentation is prioritized.

Compliance and Testing

Anti-static poly bags are tested for surface resistivity and static decay time to verify ESD protection performance. Bags intended for electronics packaging should meet applicable ESD Association (ESDA) standards and MIL-PRF-81705 requirements for ESD-protective packaging materials.

Bag in box inserters designed for efficient packaging of liquids and granular products.

Bag in Box Inserters

Bag-in-box inserters automatically open and insert pre-formed poly bags or liners into erected corrugated cases at rates up to 25 insertions per minute. Available in semi-automatic and fully automatic configurations, these machines handle gusseted bags, flat bags, and custom liners with adjustable box size settings.

Horizontal Form Fill and Seal machine for efficient packaging solutions.

Horizontal Form Fill and Seal

Horizontal form fill and seal machines wrap products in a continuous film web at speeds up to 200+ packages per minute. These flow wrappers form a tube of film around each product, create a longitudinal fin or lap seal, and cross-seal both ends for a fully enclosed package in continuous motion.

Poly Bags

Flat and reclosable poly bags manufactured from virgin low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) film. Available in mil thicknesses from 1 to 8 mil across hundreds of standard sizes, from small 2x3-inch parts bags to large 30x36-inch industrial bags. Closure options include open-end flat bags, single-track reclosable zipper bags, and heat-sealable configurations. All standard poly bags meet FDA and USDA requirements for food contact applications.

Poly Sheets

Poly sheets are flat, pre-cut polyethylene film used as interleaving layers, surface protection, dust covers, and wrapping material. Manufactured from low-density polyethylene (LDPE) in thicknesses from 1 to 10 mil. Available in standard sheet sizes as well as continuous rolls for high-volume applications. Common uses include pallet layer separation, surface protection during construction and renovation, and product wrapping where bags are not practical due to item size or shape.

Poly Tubing

Poly tubing is continuous LDPE film supplied in lay-flat rolls, designed to be cut to any length and heat sealed to create custom-sized bags on demand. Available in 2, 3, 4, and 6 mil thicknesses with lay-flat widths from 3 to 60 inches. Poly tubing eliminates the need to stock multiple bag sizes by allowing operators to create bags sized exactly to the product being packaged. All standard tubing meets FDA and USDA specifications and is compatible with impulse and constant-heat sealers.
