Dual Load Stackers

Dual Load Stackers

Dual load stackers lift and stack one pallet load on top of another, doubling shipping density for trailer loading and staging. These systems handle loads up to 4,500 lbs per pallet with hydraulic or AC servo lift mechanisms and PLC-controlled stacking sequences.

Dual load stackers automate the process of stacking one palletized load on top of another, effectively doubling the number of pallets that can be loaded into a trailer or staged in a shipping area. This reduces shipping costs and maximizes trailer utilization without manual forklift stacking.

Lift and Stacking Mechanism

The stacker lifts the first pallet to a height sufficient to accept a second pallet underneath or on top, depending on the stacking sequence. Lift heights reach 80 to 90 inches to accommodate standard pallet heights plus clearance for the stacking operation. Hydraulic or AC servo drive systems provide smooth, controlled lifting with precise positioning at the stacking height.

Load Centering and Alignment

Centering guides and alignment fixtures ensure that the upper and lower pallets are properly positioned before and during the stacking sequence. This prevents load shifting and maintains stack stability for safe transport. Load presence sensors confirm pallet placement at each stage of the stacking cycle before the system proceeds.

Cycle and Integration

Stacking cycle time varies by lift height and load weight, with PLC controls managing the full sequence from pallet intake through stacked load discharge. Dual load stackers integrate with upstream conveyors, stretch wrappers, and strapping systems for fully automated end-of-line stacking operations.
