Shrink tunnels apply controlled heat to shrink film tightly around products as they pass through on a conveyor belt. Available chamber sizes range from 16" to 30"+ wide with heat output from 2,900W to 8,800W+, digital PID temperature control, and variable speed conveyors up to 120 fpm.

Shrink tunnels deliver controlled, uniform heat to shrink packaging film tightly around products. As products pass through the heated chamber on a conveyor belt, the film contracts evenly to conform to the product shape, creating a tight, professional package.

Heat Distribution

Heat is ducted to multiple sides of the tunnel chamber for even film shrinkage. Compact units direct heat to the top, bottom, and sides, while higher-capacity models provide full 4-sided heat distribution for consistent results on all product surfaces. This multi-directional approach prevents uneven shrinkage and film distortion.

Temperature and Speed Control

Digital PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) temperature control maintains precise, consistent chamber temperatures throughout the production run. Variable speed conveyor drives allow operators to match belt speed to the product size and film type, with speeds ranging from 0-30 fpm on compact units up to 0-120 fpm on high-speed inline models.

Conveyor Types

Tunnel conveyors are available in mesh belt and solid belt configurations. Mesh belts allow heat to reach the bottom of the product for full 360-degree shrinkage. Solid belts provide a stable surface for products that require bottom support during the heating cycle. Both belt types are designed for minimal maintenance and long service life.

Size Range

Chamber sizes range from compact 16" wide by 8" tall units for small product packaging to large 30"+ wide by 19" tall chambers for bigger products or multi-item groupings. Chamber length affects dwell time in the heat zone and ranges from 28" to 60"+, with longer chambers supporting higher conveyor speeds.
